Earlier today, candidates vying for various positions in the Saturday National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) FCT Chapter election met with female journalists under FCT Correspondents Chapel.
The candidates,Mrs Bassey Ita and Mrs Ann Daniels who took turns to speak on their agenda, were charged by Chairman of NUJ FCT Correspondents Chapel, Comrade Jide Oyekunle to eschew bitterness.
“The die is cast. Saturday is the D-day. Male journalists of the Chapel are immaterial to the election but we will still come out to monitor proceedings.
“As the election comes up on Saturday, candidates and members of NAWOJ should eschew bitterness; vote your conscience and work to move the association forward,” Comrade Jide said.
In closing, Chairman Jide appreciated members of FCT Correspondents Chapel for finding out time from their busy schedule to attend the meeting.
