NOA BOSS URGES OPTIMISM AMONG NIGERIANS

As Nigerians join the rest of the world to usher in the New Year, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has urged Nigerians to be optimistic of the nation’s victorious emergence from the challenges of the outgoing year.

NOA Director General, Dr. Garba Abari in a New Year message called on Nigerians to keep hope alive for a beautiful Year 2021, citing projections for a soon recovery of the economy from recession and the commitment of government to strengthening security in the country.

He called on Nigerians to give government their full cooperation, especially as it concerns compliance with the COVID-19 prevention protocols of regular hand washing, physical distancing and mask wearing, noting that all Nigerians are critical stakeholders in the Nigerian project and the fight against the pandemic.

In his words, “Nigerians have shown, once again, their characteristic resilience through a year that was full of uncertainties and unprecedented difficulties

” We made it through the health, economic and security crises that befell us, and though the battle is not yet over, the collective doggedness with which we braved the odds of 2020 is a clear signal that we have all it takes to make 2021 a glorious year for our great nation”.

While urging Nigerians to approach the New Year with greater nationalistic fervor, Abari expressed optimism that the sacrifices Nigerians had to make in 2020 would begin to pay off in 2021.
