The prelate of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church (ESOCS) world wide, His Eminence, Elder Dr. David Bob-Manuel has said the world has no option than to rely on the sovereignty power of God if it must find an everlasting solution to the scourge of COVID-19 pandemic.
The prelate made this known in his Christmas message to the world in Lagos.
According to him, the sudden outbreak of the pandemic and long seeking for solution has only demonstrated the need for mankind to only seek and rely on God in times of trouble adding that God remains our only hope.
“Only late last year and all trough the outgoing year, the entire world system was shut down by COVID-19 pandemic. Mankind is still looking for safety to no avail to the point that the only option left for mankind is the omnipotence and sovereignty of Almighty God which now reminds us of the whole essence of man on earth.
“My dear people of God, we must therefore make amends and seek for reconciliation with our creator only then shall wars, terrorism, blood shedding, banditry, famine among others cease in the land”
Speaking further, he cited the book of CHRONICLE 7:14 which says, “If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will i hear from heaven and will forgive their sons and will heal their land
Elder Bob-Manuel however stressed the need for Nigerians to imbibe the act of living in peace and love as demonstrated by God through the birth of his son, Jesus Christ adding that Christmas should be a period of sober reflection.
“But beyond the celebration of love, peace and Joy, Christmas should be a period of sober reflection. A period we take stock of our relationships with the father who so much love us and also the son who showed unqualified obedience to the father and unmerited love to the world.
